Alessandro Fusacchia

Alessandro Fusacchia was born in Rieti in 1978. He works at the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union, and is a contract professor at IEP in Paris (Master in European Affairs). Until 2009 he was a member of the G8 team at the Italian Prime Minister’s office. He previously worked as ghost-writer for the former Italian Minister for European Affairs and International Trade, Emma Bonino, and the former President of the European Commission, Romano Prodi.

He holds a PhD in Social and Political Sciences from the European University Institute in Florence. He has contributed to several national and international journals on EU affairs, international trade and global governance. He is the President of Rete per l’Eccellenza Nazionale (RENA). Together with Davide Rubini, he published two novels: Niente di personale in 2008, and Avvistamento di pesci rossi in Danimarca in 2009.
