Brief description of CIFE and SoG

The School of Government is part of Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali (Luiss) Guido Carli, a multidisciplinary university offering degrees at all academic levels. The focus is on business studies, economics, politics, and law. The campus is located in the center of Rome and presents a modern study environment for 7000 students. The new campus, located inside a large semi-park area on Viale Romania, is a modern university-complex equipped with the latest in advanced technology. The architecture features open, dynamic, transparent spaces that fully express the sense of community and the intensity of life at the university.

Luiss Guido Carli is a university committed to excellence in terms of considerable investment in education and research. Thanks to its affiliation with Confindustria, the Italian Industrialists' Confederation, the university has close ties to the country's industrial concerns, most of which operate internationally.

Luiss's research and teaching excellence has been recently confirmed through an independent evaluation by Il Sole 24 Ore, one of the Europe's leading dailies, which ranked the University among the top institutions in Italy. Since its foundation, Luiss Guido Carli has played a key role in Italy's economic and cultural development. Not only it has trained world-class leaders sensitive to the values of market culture and the rules of a modern democracy, but it has also made important academic contributions in the fields of economics and finance, law, and political science.

Luiss University leads in Political and International Studies, ranking among the Top 20 universities worldwide and securing first place in Italy according to QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024.

CIFE (Centre International de Formation Européenne) is one of the six leading institutions of higher education receiving operational funding from the European Union in the framework of the Jean Monnet Programme.

It currently offers different master programs in European integration, international relations, governance and global economy, and energy transition; all the above follow an itinerant approach by exposing the students to different universities and cultures during their studies.

Over 1800 students, coming from more than 90 countries, have graduated from these programmes. They now work for European institutions, international organisations, NGOs, universities, public administration, and enterprises.

CIFE is based in Nice with branch offices in Berlin, Brussels, and Istanbul. The Institute runs partnerships with various high-level universities and institutions, including partners in Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, Turkey, and Central Europe. It excels by an outstanding international faculty, consisting of academics and professional experts.
