Mario Del Pero is professor of international history and history of international relations at Science Po, Paris. He holds a Ph.D from the University of Milan and has been associate professor at the University of Bologna. He has taught courses of international history, American history, history of transatlantic relations and history of the cold war. His most recent publications are The Eccentric Realist. Henry Kissinger and the Making of American Foreign Policy (Cornell University Press, 2010) and Libertà e Impero. Gli Stati Uniti e il Mondo, 1776-2011 (Laterza, 2011).
