Arlo Poletti

Arlo Poletti is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the Department of Political Science and the School of Government of the LUISS Guido Carli, where he teaches International Public Policy and International Relations. He obtained his PhD at the University of Bologna and before joining the LUISS Guido Carli he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Antwerp Centre for Institutions and Multilevel Politics of the University of Antwerp. He recently obtained the National Qualification (Abilitazione Nazionale) as Associate Professor of Political Science. His research interests focus broadly on the political economic dynamics that underlie process of international regulatory cooperation. Empirically, his research has focused on different areas, including trade policy, environmental policy and intellectual property rights. The results of his research are regularly published a wide array of international and national peer-reviewed journals such as West European Politics, Journal of European Public Policy, Regulation & Governance, Comparative European Politics, Third World Quarterly, British Journal of Politics and International Relations, Res Publica, and Italian Review of Political Science. In 2012 he published a monographic study titled The European Union and Multilateral Trade Governance: The Politics of the Doha Round (Routledge) and he is currently working on a monographic study on judicial trade policy making in the WTO.
