Valentina Volpe is an Associate Professor (Maître de conférences) of Public International Law, tenure and Co-Director of the Advanced LL.M. in International and European organizations /Human Rights, Security & Development (with Dean Ioannis Panoussis), Faculty of Law, Université Catholique de Lille, France.

A Senior Research Affiliate, Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (MPIL), Heidelberg, Germany.

A Research Affiliate, Centre de Recherche sur les Droits de l’Homme et le Droit Humanitaire (CRDH), Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas, Paris, France.

Her research interests cover the fields of global, European and international public law, encompassing disciplines such as global governance, democracy promotion, human rights, com­parative public law, and European law.

Main Fields of Research: Global and international public law; comparative constitutional law; democracy promotion; human rights; non-state actors; international organizations (with a particular focus on CoE and EU) and European human rights law.
