Luiss researcher Maria Giulia Amadio Vicerè wins the Marie Curie Fellowship

The Luiss Alumna Maria Giulia Amadio Vicerè, researcher and teacher at the Department of Political Sciences, won the European Fellowship Marie Curie research grant with the project "EUDIC Differentiation and Integration - EU Foreign Policy: informal groups in the EU approach to conflict and crisis "

A Standard European Fellowship, to be held at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies of the European University Institute, a research center of excellence in social sciences in Europe.

Promising researchers eager to conduct a study in an institution of an EU member state have the opportunity to win a research grant made available each year by the European Commission.

In 2019, the Commission received a record of applications: 9,875 for the Marie Curie Individual Fellowship, 7,706 of which for the Standard European Fellowship. Only 1,740, or 13.16%, reached the cut off score (93) to win funding in the Social and Humanities sector.

Researcher Maria Giulia Amadio Vicerè won the scholarship with a score of 94.2, obtained by 10.6% of the candidates.

During the activity carried out at the University, Maria Giulia has built a solid research profile to which she has flanked numerous experiences abroad. She has worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Leiden, and a researcher at King’s College di Londra the University of Washington in Seattle and at the European University Institute itself.
