Course Completed: Regulatory Impact Assessment
After five intense days the RIA course has officially come to an end.
Hosted at the Luiss School of Government, the programme brought together 21 participants from 6 countries — Zambia, Kosovo, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, The Netherlands, and Italy — creating a dynamic, multicultural learning environment.
Led by internationally experts
• Scott Jacobs, Managing Director, Jacobs, Cordova & Associates
• Cesar Cordova, Senior Director, Jacobs, Cordova & Associates
• Giacomo Luchetta, Partner, Syntesia
the course provided a deep dive into the tools and methodologies behind Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) — from benefit-cost and cost-effectiveness analytics to administrative burden and small-business tests.
RIA plays a crucial role in public policy: it helps regulators make informed decisions on when and how to regulate by bringing clarity and structure to complex qualitative and quantitative information.
A big thank you to our lecturers and to all participants for their engagement, curiosity, and contributions throughout the week.
Until next time — keep shaping better policies.
