Master’s Program Overview
The Master’s program aims to train experts capable of navigating the complex institutional and economic architecture of contemporary Europe. The goal is to provide an interdisciplinary "toolbox" ranging from economic theory to negotiation practice.
Specifically, the program aims to develop:
-
A deep knowledge of the history and evolution of European economic integration.
-
The ability to analyze the Eurozone's monetary and fiscal policies and their impact on financial stability.
-
An advanced understanding of the cohesion, industrial, and competition policies that regulate the Single Market.
-
Mastery of EU budgetary processes and the mechanisms of the Multiannual Financial Framework 2028-2034
-
The ability to interpret the challenges posed by the green and digital transitions (Green Deal and Digital Transformation) for the competitiveness of European businesses.
Strategic Integration and Mission
The Master’s program is born from the strategic integration of the School of Government and Luiss Business School, reflecting the University’s mission to train leaders capable of operating at the intersection of markets and institutions. Students will also be directly involved in the activities of the Luiss Research Center for European Analysis and Policy (LEAP).
The objective is to translate this dual identity into concrete professional skills:
-
From the School of Government: The Master inherits a rigorous analysis of economic governance and decision-making processes, teaching students how to interpret Eurozone policies and the inner workings of EU institutions.
-
From Luiss Business School: The program draws its managerial approach, aimed at transforming the European regulatory framework into a competitive lever for businesses, with a dedicated focus on strategy, finance, and transition management.
-
Collaboration with LEAP: This partnership ensures direct exposure to high-level policy debates through conferences and workshops with key players in European politics. Discussions focus on the twin transitions, European strategic autonomy, technological sovereignty, and European security.
The Luiss Profile: Institutional Intelligence
In summary, the program aims to create a hybrid professional profile: an expert who combines the vision of political economy with the pragmatism of business strategy. Our graduates are prepared to lead companies through global challenges with a profound "institutional intelligence"—the hallmark of the Luiss educational experience.
The students will attend the workshops organized by the Luiss Institute for European Analysis and Policy with EU officers and Policy Makers.
