Jared Diamond will give eight lectures at LUISS from March 10 to 21, 2014.
A professor of geography at UCLA, and a distinguished scientist and author in a wide range of fields, including physiology, membrane biophysics, ecology, evolutionary biology, anthropology and history, Professor Diamond has won countless prizes for his transdisciplinary work, including a Pulizer Prize for Guns, Germs and Steel, a study of how different environmental factors have influenced the evolution of human societies over the last 13,000 years.
