Often, where institutions are frail, religious groups better understand local contexts and show the capacity to address the pressing needs of the population more effectively. On the other hand, religion can also be used to destabilize internal and foreign political contexts. Examples also abound in the last few months.

 Starting from the publication of the last issue of the “Review of Faith and International Affairs” edited by Pasquale Annicchino and Judd Birdsall, this future event of our Mediterranean Platform will investigate the ambivalent relationship between religion and security in the international context.
