Programme and Structure
tretching over one academic year the program is structured into the following four modules. The academic program requires students to complete all the courses on their study plan. Students will be evaluated at the end of each course and may also be invited to seminars. The academic program may change as instructed by the Directors of the Joint Master.

European Cultural Governance in Global, European, and Local Contexts: 12 ECTS - CIFE in Berlin (February – April 2027)
Students will attend courses on European Cultural Governance in Global, European, and Local Contexts with a particular focus on its cultural world’ s drive to expand on climate mitigation and adaptation practices which can help achieve the ambitious objectives of the green transformation of our society towards sustainable development. Faced with these major challenges, the world of culture reacts and adapts its governance in order to ensure the continuity of cultural actions and contribute to building the sustainable world of tomorrow:

EU Trade & Economic Security: 12 ECTS - CIFE in Nice (April – July 2027)
Europe plays a leading role in digital cultural heritage and has the potential to forge ahead with new technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning based on humanistic and ethical principles. Cultural services and network, Artificial Intelligence and digital are the new frontier of culture and represent the most dynamically growing part of creation. New forms of cooperation agreements and experimentations increasing cultural exchange and network may enable countries in their policy space to promote cultural creations, to safeguard universal heritage, and to pursue inclusive development goals:

Applied Research Methodology, case studies, simulation exercises and skills workshops: 14 ECTS
The Applied Research occurs across the Rome, Berlin and Nice sessions and consists in Apprenticeship, Master thesis and practical case studies, where students will implement their learnings in simulated (laboratories) or real-life (case studies) situation.
Apprenticeship
The apprenticeship/internship provides students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge gained in their courses to practice and contribute to policy-relevant outcomes. As part of the internship, students develop a working policy paper in collaboration with the Foundation for Economic and Social Research (Fondazione RiES). Their findings are intended for publication in the Private Cultural Heritage Observatory’s Annual Report, and policy recommendations to the Association of Italian Historical Houses.
Laboratories
The applied research in the form of laboratories work is a highly important element of the Joint Master. Students should devote the time for preparing the case studies that will be discussed with professionals of major institutions.
Laboratories on professional skills for cultural institutions involve the transversal knowledge (conceptual and practical knowledge) with seasoned experts of the management, impact evaluation, funding and legal framework of cultural assets such as Museums, historical houses and gardens, Cultural heritage and historical archives, Creative arts and industries, Cultural events and festivals.
Thesis
The thesis is an academic contribution that must correspond to the orientation of your studies. It deals with a topic that belongs to a pre-existing field of research, but one which is not inherently exhausted. The required methodology should allow you to formulate a research problem, know the relevant publications and write a report on the research and its results. The form of the dissertation is standardised, and its presentation follows rules intended to facilitate the readability, identification and dissemination of the dissertation.
The general objective of the thesis is to evaluate the candidate's ability to:

Study trip
A study trip to a major cultural hub such as Paris gives insight knowledge into Cultural Diplomacy and interaction with high-level lecturers, experts and policymakers.
