World Humanitarian Summit - Youth Consultation

Within the framework of the World Humanitarian Summit, a United Nations Secretary-General event set for May 2016, the School of Government will host the first Italian Youth Consultation, which will contribute to form the youth position on the agenda of the Summit. The consultation will be part of the process coordinated by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA).

The panel will be led by Francesco Galtieri, Chief of the Peace Programming Section at UN Volunteers.

The meeting will focus on youth involvement on humanitarian action, among them, Youth will actively discuss topics like Humanitarian Effectiveness, Reducing Vulnerability, Managing Humanitarian Risk and Serving the Needs of People in Conflict.

The consultation will be moderated by the UN Major Group for Children and Youth - World Humanitarian Summit Regional Focal Point for Europe and North America, Diego Antonino Cimino and supported by Giovanni Saitta, Giorgio Sirtori from the Master in International Public Affairs at LUISS School of Government and Efrem Garlando from Master in International Relations, Department of Political Sciences, LUISS.
