Internet has changed the patterns of information consumption and news production processes regarding the reliability of online content. In recent years, European institutions and social networks have intensified their efforts to fight online disinformation through shared strategies.
The event "I Confini del diritto e la disinformazione online", organized by LawLab, School of Government, and Fondazione Italia Digitale, will be an opportunity to reflect, from an interdisciplinary perspective, on the strategies against fake news.
During the pandemic crisis in March 2021, Francesco Paolo Figliuolo was appointed by the Prime Minister Mario Draghi to implement the vaccination campaign in Italy. In his latest book "Un italiano. Quello che la vita mi ha insegnato per affrontare la sfida più grande" (Rizzoli), he speaks about his experience as a commissioner in an open dialogue with Beppe Severgnini.

In France, the re-election of Emmanuel Macron to the Presidency of the Republic provides the opportunity of increasing the foreign policy incisiveness of a country that can be described as a 'medium-sized power of world influence.' This role derives from cultural and geographical, as well as military and strategic, factors. Therefore, this Policy Brief analyses several dossiers on which Paris will be forced, also due to external events, to undertake a profound critical reflection, as in the case of its involvement in Africa and the new role played by NATO in European defense.
